Description: straight Blade, steel, single-edged, without valleys. On the bottom of the blade has a saw. Efes cast, brass, "Roman» type consists of crosses, and the handle. The ends of the direct and cross over curves. The hilt of a barrel with cross grooves. The head of the handle oval with a ball on top. The sheath leather with brass instrument consisting of mouth bracket and tip. Suspension leather.
the State of preservation: subject is in a very good collection status, minor scrapes on the blade and handle.
Attribution: Cleaver was used in the Swiss army until the early twentieth century. Was almost completely copied from the French cleaver arr. 1831 except the shape of the blade - the Swiss have used the saw on the blade butt.
