Badge "To the Striker of the Stalinist draft" (USP) of the NKPS sample of 1934

The sign "To the Striker of Stalin's call" was established by order of the People's Commissariat of Railways of the USSR (formed on July 6, 1923) on April 28, 1934 116/C signed by People's Commissar A.Andreev and the head of the Political Department of the NKPS, Deputy People's Commissar V.Polonsky. In the "Regulations on the badge "The Striker of the Stalinist draft" it was stated that for systematic failure to fulfill their production tasks, violation of labor discipline and antisocial acts, the Ministry of Railways, together with the Central Committee of the Railway, has the right to deprive the badge. The issues of awarding and deprivation are discussed in advance at a meeting of workers and employees.

The first signs were numbered, the number was stamped with a punch on the reverse side. Together with the sign, a certificate of the established sample was issued. The right of awarding was granted to the People's Commissariat of Railways. Gradually, the circle of officials entitled to award increased (since 1943, the heads of railways). The Charter on the discipline of railway transport workers, approved in 1949, had the right to award, except for the Minister of Railways, his deputies, heads of districts and heads of railways.

The sign "To the Striker of the Stalin draft" was produced for more than 20 years (from 1934 to 1957) at the Stamping and Mechanical Plant of the NKPS. The main circulation consists of all-stamped signs without a serial number. The numbering on the signs remained up to about 80 thousand, and the total estimate of the circulation was about 500 thousand pieces. The awarding of the badge "To the Striker of the Stalinist draft" was terminated by the decree of the USSR PVS dated 09/16/1957.
