The greatcoat of the political commissar of the engineering troops of the Red Army of the 1941 model

An original and very rare overcoat in excellent collectible condition. Sheathed with the original insignia of the political commissar of the engineering troops. It was introduced by order of the People's Commissar of Defense of the USSR No. 176 of December 3, 1935. It is made of dark gray cloth; on a cotton lining up to the waist and in the sleeves, double-breasted with open lapels, with two rows of buttons 5 on each side (this number of buttons was fixed by order of 1941). The collar of the greatcoat is turn-down. The sleeves are double-seam, with straight attached cuffs. The pockets are semi-oblique, slotted, covered with flaps. In the middle of the back there is a counter fold fastened at the top with two transverse lines. At the waist at the back is a straight strap, fastened with two large buttons. All buttons are uniform, yellow, brass. The bottom of the overcoat is edged. Size about 48, average height.
