A couple of Russian cavalry pistols, 1788

Extremely rare and interesting finding of our shop – a pair of pistols for cavalry type specimen 1775, made privately secured a Russian officer or a civilian at the Tula arms factory in 1788, as evidenced by preserved the stamp on the key-Board of one of the guns (on the Board the second the mark erased as a result of numerous purges during the period of existence). It is not excluded that these guns were an integral part of dueling headset. The guns are flint locks French battery type. At the base of the trunks suffered a series Polosatiy the mark of the Russian military acceptance, and an image of the eagle in the circle.
