Description

Plate relates to a small category, regimental ware, a feature of which is that objects bear the image of the regimental badge. Usually, the dishes and the sign were designed and ordered at the same time, in preparation for the kato anyone anniversary. The 33rd Eletsk infantry regiment counted its history to 1763, when it was created among other infantry regiments on the basis of the disbanded Ukrainian case. In 1910, when the notion of "regimental badge" shelves, whose age exceeded 100 years, received the right to establish badges "for the unity of all that serve and served" the regiment, without waiting for the date of the anniversary. That's why the regiment quartered in the province of Poltava, it was time to hold a competition for a drawing of the sign, to raise funds for its production and place the order as a sign and new dishes for the meeting. The celebration of this event was timed, apparently, to the 100 anniversary of the Patriotic war of 1812 in addition, it was prijavno to make amends for the recent events of 1906, when the wave of revolutionary events of the regiment rebelled, but soon repented of his actions. Regimental insignia was a cross of the yellow metal in the form of St. George in the center of which was engraved the United monograms of Catherine II and Alexander II is somewhat atypical of drawing and gate "1763 – 1863". In this form he is depicted in this plate (the factory one of the factories of the partnership of the heirs of M. S. Kuznetsov). Dish with image of the regimental badge as already mentioned, were few and quite rare.
