Photo greeting "Cossack", 1904

The basis for the postcard was a photo of a Cossack or a prep, or front of the discharge taken during field studies. Character dressed in a summer Hiking outfit stepovich Cossack troops, consisting of a cap with visor, white linen shirt with epaulettes, wide trousers with stripes and high boots. Armament Cossack sword with shoulder harness, three-line Cossack rifle sample (same as Dragunskaya, but without the bayonet) and peak. Very typical for the Cossacks way of carrying rifle running the strap over the right shoulder (in the whole of the regular cavalry through the left). On the staff of the fortified peaks it became the main icon. Bridle Cossack pattern, snaffle bit and chumbur for tying horses, saddling, training, with a blanket, but without a full pack. The room allows us to assume that the card whola part of a series, apparently dedicated to the Russian army. Judging by the year of issue (1904), it can rightfully be attributed to the Souvenirs of the Patriotic themes that were very popular during the Russo-Japanese war 1904 – 1905 the Guarantee of authenticity.
