Medal "For naval battle at Gangut, 27 July 1714", a remake

Interesting medal with a very unusual stamp. Made of bronze. The diameter of 50 mm.

The main event of the battle of Gangut was a battle of the Russian rowing boats with a detachment of Swedish ships of Erensheld in the Rilaks fjord, held 295 years ago, July 27, 1714 (old style). The Swedes squadron consisted of 18 gun frigate, 6 galleys and 3 Shcherbatov, which had adopted a total of 116 guns. On the obverse of all medals was placed a portrait of Peter I, and reverses the image of the sea battle and the inscription: "Diligence and fidelity superior to the bigger than 27 July 1714".
