The original shoulder strap of the XIX century is in satisfactory condition. The field of the shoulder strap is faded, but the fabric is soft and quite suitable for painting. The 6th fleet crew was one of the oldest in the Russian Navy; it was stationed in Libave (Military port of the Emperor Alexander III, now-Liepaja). The shoulder strap is made in a technique that came into use in the 1820s. In the pattern-cut chase, before it was sewn together with a special stamp, the contour of the figure was punched, which was then lined with white cloth and sewn around the perimeter (initially by hand, and since the 1860s by machine seam). Guarantee of authenticity.
